I’m trying to help my neighbor out who has a craftsman T 1100 riding lawnmower and he has issues with the deck. The first issue is the idler arm assembly has come disconnected as I found it just hanging underneath, and I can’t tell if it mounts to the deck or the frame underneath of the lawnmower.. The other issue is the linkage that I think is supposed to raise and lower the deck seems to have a broken bracket on it. I can’t determine where that bracket was attached to. I’ll attach a pic of both the idler assembly and the deck lifting linkage with the bracket that appears to be broken. I did find a parts diagram of the deck, and I do not see the bracket showing in the breakdown. Img0379 is deck is, I believe the bracket and linkage that is part of the deck level adjustment. I can see a rough edge and rust on the lower portion as it appears in pic. I assume it broke off wherever it was attached. IMG_0380 is pic of idler assembly.

Thank you in advance!

Item #67 783-06769 is the part of the motion drive idler bracket assy and bolts to the frame. This appears to be a redesigned part that replaces it.

Item 64 is 783-06592B Is also part of motion idler assy. Neither are deck parts. And you are missing a step washer, spacer, bolts, and nuts.

Star Tech - I've looked this over and looking at the pictures of the brackets (64 and 67) and then looking at the pic of the assembled parts and I'm a bit confused as I look at the size of the hole in each of the brackets. Each bracket has two different size holes but in the picture of the assembled parts, the bolts seem to appear the same size. I'm missing something on how these two parts stack up (with the idler bracket that ties to the speed pedal being the bracket closest to the main frame) and the combined assemblies bolt together. If you can maybe clarify a bit, that may help me. Looking at the dashed lines that show where the bolts go seem to be a bit confusing - to me, at least.

And it seems that spacer should be between the two parts but in the diagram it seem to imply the spacer sits below one of the pulleys.

Thanks again

I do someone with the auto drive to take some pictures for the OP as I no longer have working camera. It on the list for Christmas but clothes was more important right now as I was down to two sets. I do have them ordered and should be here Wednesday along with a new pair shoes. And Saturday my replacements eyeglasses will be in as Crushed my current pair a couple days ago.

And to the OP it assembles like a jigsaw puzzle. I had gotten mowers in boxes and to put them back together without a guide as to they go together so I do understand your situation. It can drive you nuts at times.

I think I’ve figured most of it out but still need a bit of assist to figure out yhis idler puzzle. I’ve attached a PDF which has a diagram of the drive section. I can not figure out how idler bracket (#65) attaches to the riding lawn mower. Also off that same idler bracket what is the function of the bolt (#13), washer (#44) and spacer (#56)? Also I believe there is an error in the diagram as it doesn’t show where the bolt (#15) gets attached to after it goes up to the idler pulley (#60) - the one to the left of the two #60 pulleys - gets attached to.

I’m also going to attach a pic in case someone has issue opening PDF.

Thanks
