I'd fill it with fresh gas and oil, squirt a little oil in the cylinder, put a new plug in, and give it a try.

I’ve been using synthetic oil in small engines for 25 years.

How long does it run before it dies?

They certainly don't blend their own oils. They simply contract with one of the big blenders.

Sorry, I'm not familiar with this brand, so this is just a general statement. Some blowers and trimmers are quite fussy with the starting procedure used. Is there by chance a label on it with specific starting instructions?

I don’t think this is my issue, as mine is much more like the OP described, except it happens a little more often than every 4-5 minutes. In fact, I have tried to duplicate it by going over rough areas in the yard, and can’t. It just happens when it wants to, and is very brief, and the engine...
