I originally checked for spark by holding the plug against the engine block. There was none which is why I replaced the coil.

The short answer is no No. I am fairly handy, but I don’t know if these checks are within my abilities. I will have to see what’s involved.

I bought the mower second-hand, so I’m not exactly sure how old it is. All I know is the wheels locked up not long after I got it. Can’t complain though - I only paid $20.
