I am looking for a air filter cover part no. 37122 for a Toro 200017

Believe it or not the clip on the float ,the long end has to be facing the air filter side of the carburetor. I also learned this the hard way. I do not know why it makes a difference on the way it is facing but it does . It also states the same thing in a Tecumseh manual that i have.

Why is there a Philips screw in the carburetor. There should be a long bolt that goes through the Air filter housing to the hole in the middle of the carburetor .

The springs look right

I agree gas tank spacer.

Use two gaskets. Sometime you just have to replace the base. They can warp if you over tighten the bolts .

IF it is an easy start with the automatic choke then it has 2 springs. If it has a primer bulb then 1 spring.

The white nipple is just a vent . Nothing goes to it
