123K02 series. does anyone know the size of the woodruff key (crescent shape) for the shaft. there are two slots. they appear to be the same size.

The idler pulley must have been removed and then a smaller belt was used to compensate. I found a idler assembly on Ebay for about $30 which included the arm, spring, pulley, spacer, etc., but the set up I have worked fine without the idler pulley. I don't think its a safety concern. As for...

its the engine belt. someone suggested putting a stretch belt on it since there is no idler/tensioner pulley

my tag on the back of the mower list it as a P21550. technically it is a P21550KW. self propelled 21" 5.5 hp "0" series designation. it is a side discharge mower, but i use the mulch cover.

no this looks like a newer model than mine. I have a self propelled, steel deck model from the mid 90's with the kawasaki Fc150v engine. But I do like the kawasaki engines and you could find them on older john deere push mowers

Your right about it not being OEM. I'm trying to clean the OEM carb, but it's been a fiasco. The fuel shut off assembly is packed with a crumbly, white material, and also some jelly like substance

Bought a replacement carb, but there isn't a hole for the throttle linkage to fit in. Should I drill a hole to secure it?

i'm having a hard time finding the original engine for this mower. the parts manual says the parts # is E243. Not sure what this equates to. The current engine is a predator verticle shaft, but the air filter housing rubs agains the wheel. I'm trying to see if it takes another verticle shaft...

He has a good thing going selling parts and mowers that he gets for almost nothing, but he did mention that his boss/salvage yard owner started to immediately scrap the mowers when he got wind that the employee was making some money on the side. I guess I'll just keep using him as my parts guy...
