I would take a guess unless maybe you were in the mower business how would a average home owner know this answer. They buy one mower and use it. And then who operates ten different mowers to know their favorite. Now my favorite is a Ferris mower because that is what I use and own but I really don't what I would like better or worst. Also there is many different styles of mower to pick from to add to the confusion of favorites.

Basically there is no right or wrong answer, maybe I should have asked What's your favorite brand of mower from 1 to 10. It's just an opinion type of pole. Over the years and as a Homeowner I have used a lot of different mowers and I'd have to say out of all of them, Honda would be my first choice but I wouldn't say the same for commercial use.

The best one is the one you can afford, get service for nearby, get parts for nearby, at least think you can perform most of the service on, while doing the job you need done with the amount of input from yourself that you can afford and perform. I see very little difference between any of the brands at the same price level. The only added perks are rather small and seem to come from the Craftsman brand. I suppose finance offered may be something that would make one better than another. Some guys can get along with box store stuff because they do all the tinkering themselves. Other folks would be better off with dealer support. Most stores carry the same stuff anyway.

Hi ALL

I think i would but my country clipper on top of the list on rider mowers and i think i would put the new MTD on the bottom of the list, but i havn't had one of the new ones . My last MTD was in 1991 model and i still use it on my tiller that attacheds to it to till my garden every spring and summer and i love it. You can fill in the middle have not bought a mower for a while and only use riders because i mow about 2 or 3 acres of lawn.:licking::licking::licking::laughing:

Can only rate the ones I used with my Massey Ferguson GC2400 as #1:thumbsup:, my MTD Turf Power as #2:smile: and last is the Craftman LT2000, would not recommend it to anyone:wink:.
