Got my tools to adjust the carb on my weedeater and blower today. Just a slight tweak on both and now they run so much better. Both ran good but were just a little too lean. Now they run much better.

I have a cub cadet trimmer and I have a Poulan Pro blower. the Blower is the hand held one 25cc 200 MPH 430 (I think) CFM. I bought them both new in Aug and have run them both a whole lot. They got the job done. Had not problems starting..... However both ran like they were starving for fuel. Since I bought them at the Big Box store, and I did not have the tools to adjust them I ran them like they were. I was always taught that a 2 cycle running lean was also running lean on oil. Therefore I wanted to get them running a little richer becasue I hope to make this summer with both. If they are worn out by then I am going to either buy Echo or Stihl to replace them. Other than that little quirk with both they have both done a goood job.

If you do have to replace them I would do as you said, get a Stihl or Echo. I have an Echo SRM-225 trimmer and an Echo PB-255LN handheld blower. I absolutely love them! I used the blower for fall clean-up and it worked great. You can see my review on it here: http://www.lawnmowerforum.com/echo-forum/13035-detailed-review-my-pb-255ln-blower.html.

I started up my business in August. I bought the Kubota ZG222 zero turn and was able to buy it 0 down and 0 interest. I had a limited budget to get a trailer, blower, and trimmer, as well as license...... That is the reason I went with the Cub Cadet trimmer and Poulan Pro blower. I could pay cash for them and figured that if they made it till they ran out of warranty that they would make it a year. My experienve with equipment is if it runs great for a while it will keep performing. If it is a lemon it will show up almost immediately. By that time I would be able to buy what ever I needed. I bought the blower on sale at Tractor Supply for like $89. Unless something happens to it unforseen I don't know that I would not buy another one to replace it if/when it dies. For the dollar it moves a lot of air. I like the hand held for blowing sidewalks and drives. It is relatively light, it starts easy, it moves a lot of trash, and you can sit it down idling and pick it back up with out having to shut it off and restart it if you are having to multi-task.....

Yeah, if it still works well, I would save the money and keep using it, since you seem to be happy with it!
