I read all of your comments about fixing up your neighbors 800 special. That was really nice of you for helping out. That's where I found out about the manuals too. This helped alot too. I bought a 1/2 x 85 belt yesterday, but this was too small. The manual says to use 1/2 x 89 to me this seems like it might be too big, so I'm wondering if this was meant for use with the electric clutch while mine has a manual brake/clutch. I was wondering if you don't mind me asking what length belt did you use. Thanks.

From CarQuest auto parts it was a RBR 6888 - I don't know what length it was, but it was a match for the belt that came on the tractor. I probably have the old belt, but can't find it at the moment.
