A county business license is required in almost every state, go to the county clerk office, they'll issue you the license and can inform you of applicable state requirements. Then find yourself a good bookkeeper.

In my Florida county, they have become honest abouth the BS (oops business license) and now refer to it as a business tax receipt. And, since I am over 65, I am exempt.
