Mole problem

Traps work but u will need to get several of them. There are usually about 3 moles u will have to catch by the way
 
Moles are big problem here. I mainly dislike them because the hills stick up and dull the blades. If you want them to move (maybe to an adjacent weedy lot) try flattening their hills by running over them with the tractor tires. This is not the final solution.

Must be something about Washington that moles like. Gregoire ??
Anyway, I'm in Kitsap County and I've been trapping the little beasts since about 1988. I've been using the scissor type spring traps exclusively. In that time I have a total of 299 KIA's.
I will never run-out of moles as I'm surrounded by woods and pastures and that's where they come from even though I completely wipe-out my resident population every year.

That looks like a Schnauzer nose... If it is, I know 6 others that have the patience and skills to get moles... :smile:KennyV

Rich, I know I'm in the minority. These buggers leave mounds of pulverized soil which weeds and swamp grass grows in. Also they like to seek out the bowls of newly planted trees and create drain pipes. Probably old age but I can't kill 'em. The poor things are so ugly only a mommy mole could love 'em. Cats don't seem to hunt them and will not eat them. People are driven mad trying to eradicate them. They're like coyotes and cockraoches. When we're all gone...Motoman :smile:
