Flooding at full throttle

Well I guess I'll never know what is causing the problem, B&S got back to me today and they don't know either. Said they are going to replace the engine. It was brand new. I'll probably have to send it back and will never know what they found. Thanks for your help.

I to was hoping for an answer to this one...! it had me thinking, good to know that B&S are going to replace it. all the best Tony.:thumbsup:
 
Hi. I have a Husqvarna self propelled.... upon initial start up for this season, it started, but was chugging, then stopped... then I flooded it priming it... waited it started, same thing.. restarted and while working the throttle-- it seemed like it needed more gas-- and when I tried to "rev her up" that killed her immediately. Changed the spark plug, checked gas line, all seemed fine... Started right up, but chugging... like a miss, exactly the same as before but would run, roughly at idle... Again, gave it some gas and she stalled. What do you think this could be?
 
I'd make sure the air filter is clean and mice haven't made a nest in it...if that checks ok,I'd drain the fuel and put fresh gas in it and see if it clears up .it sounds like you didn't stabilize the fuel or drain it and run it out of fuel.a little maintenance in the fall will save an expensive headache in the spring.you may need to clean the carburetor.
