New/Used to me

FORGET IT!!!!??? Guess I just got thrown under the bus, for trying to help. Guess I’m the idiot on this one for using my experience to post manuals for the OP and then told I’m no help, forget it. Can a more experienced tech read post #9 and tell me what I’m missing. Also, please explain post #3 to me.
 
No disrespect intended. I'll figure it out. Thanks for your input and knowledge. I'm thinking the engine has been swapped out somewhere in the past.

Well, I'm sure that also includes a few other folks on this forum...now for another "monkey wrench" in the works. I am given to understand that this series of machines were manufactured under the New Holland and Ford labels! Like I said...I'm happy and I give up. I'll continue to keep the blades sharp and do reg. services.
 
Yes, both Ford and New Holland both had these units. Only difference was paint color. One more thing, the Kohler ID tag you posted should not be on the shroud you posted. That engine was not even around when that tractor was built.
