Wierd or unlucky no start!!

So if any have followed my other posts on my briggs opposed twin that I was working on it is now running great or was?
Anyway I know what I'm going to have to do but seeing if anyone has encountered the same problem I have?
This is on a Montgomery Ward Powr Kraft!! Pretty sure an MTD
So I finally got this machine running nice engine dialed and drives great its actually in pretty good shape so I'm ready to put the deck back on!
Deck functions great new belts new blades!
Fired up engine earlier in the day perfect !
Excited to put deck on and it will be ready for action!
These decks are a pain to get on and off especially 46 incher!@
Anyway get the deck on and turn the key nothing??
I hate this because now im back to the beginning!
Is the battery good, is it a saftey switch a fuse the solenoid, ignition switch a ground??
I seem to always get mystery stuff!
And it was end of day tired ect.
So before I start doing continuity test to switches and bypass switches and jump it?? I'm just looking to see if i missed something?
Basically everything electrical is new and I did see if maybe something was disconnected and can't see anything?

Pull the main power fuse and look at it. If it looks partially melted in the plastic, the holder contacts are getting rusty, and the fuse has poor connection. You can put the fuse in and out a couple of times and if the mower will start, the fuse holder needs to be replaced.

It was the solenoid
Thought I had a new one on but looks like original!
Probably over worked it in last year with so much starting of motor testing!
It would go right when I change something so drives you crazy

Solenoids are typical to fail especially when a battery is too low, and the starter is straining to turn the engine for startup. It creates a lot of heat on the solenoid contacts and in the starter.
