Briggs and Stratton won't start

My carburetor was gummed up so I took it apart to clean it out.. the thing will now run as long as I squirt gas/carb cleaner in the throat but won't start or run to it's own ...
What am I missing?
It is a model # 08P5020055F1 with one of those plastic carburetor. ( year 2019)
I've always been able to get my mowers running but never seen a plastic carburetor..

Possible dirt and trash in the fuel tank.
Possible non venting gas cap.
Possible failed internally gas line.
Plugged up carb jets and emulsion tube.
Possible carb float level height that is rarely mentioned about on here.
Possible never had valve clearance checked.
Possible using an open top gas can spout letting trash, dirt, water and bogs in.

Possible cooling fins never cleaned.

Possible never been de-carboned per every small air cooled engine manual known to exist.
 
I hope, which is all I can do, that you cleaned off the carb and area around the carb prior to removing the carb. You can see all that sandy grit which can and will get inside your engine.

Kind of like at the hospital when a surgery is done. Everything is cleaned and prepped prior to cutting the flesh.

While you are that far into this, make sure the fuel tank is clean and the screen in the bottom (inside) is not gummed up and blocking the fuel flow. Modern fuel tends to gum up when it ages due to all of the refinery additives.
