Hi all,
As a result of the above issue, I have got a new carb, as I suspect the needle and seat to be the issue.
I ordered from Amazon, and made sure the replacement carb would fit my machine.
Now that it has arrived, I notice some differences between the two.
The replacement has separate connections for the choke and throttle.
Also, the small black rubber tube is not present on the new one.
My question is.....is this replacement okay to install....will it work?
Thanks for any advice.IMG_20260603_084433706.jpgIMG_20260603_084514595.jpg

I checked and That engine came with a minimum of three different carburetors. Depending on the engine numbers it is very likely that you have the wrong carb. Please check and post the full engine numbers and the part number for the new carb you purchased. That way we can see where the prices is.

Thanks Rivets......here are the engine details:
Model #: 911134
Serial #:003082
These are directly off the engine. the local shop says no replacement carbs are available, but the needle and seat are.....at a cost of $100CAN!!!!
Any help appreciated.IMG_20260509_150350944.jpgIMG_20260511_123056360.jpg

Looking at the two carbs you showed in post #1, I don’t think you have the correct carb for your engine. When I look up the model number you posted it calls for carb number 15003-7133 which is superseded to carb number 15003-7099. The one thing I see with both of these carbs is you must remove the choke butterfly and choke shaft from your original carb and install them into the new carb. Since you didn’t post the part number for the carb you purchased, I can’t tell if it will work for you, but my experience tells me it will not. Can’t find a carb kit, but individual parts are available. Finally does your engine use a primer bulb?

Thanks again Rivets...
That is the carb I ordered.....15003-7099...see amazon info below. Obviously not the carb I need for this application. Also not available on Walbro website.
Specification:
Item Type: Carburetor
Material: Aluminum
Color: As shown in the picture
Weight: Approx. 217g / 7.7oz
Fitment: Fit for FJ180V 15003-7099 15003-7083

2+2 does not add up to 4. If you have a primer bulb the carb you received will not work. Return and find a good supplier. AutoScam is not a good supplier, as they put a different carb in the box. Not that it surprises me, as I’ve seen this too often in the past.

Lots of people like to dog on Amazon and EBay. How bad the parts quality is, etc. In 2026 please tell me where you can find affordable aftermarket parts for lots of outdoor power equipment besides these two massive companies?!

I have had great service, value, billing, shipping, and overall parts quality from Amazon and EBay over the last decade.
