New Zero Turn Purchase - Toro Vs. Gravely

I am not disagreeing with you on the Gravely XTHD or the XTL, but they are just not for me as when I sat on the Gravely it felt to high for me that is why I said the XTHD was not for me and I am not saying it is not comfortable, but when I sat on the Scag I liked being low to the ground. The space I have in the garage is between two cars to store the mower and I have a little less than 7 feet width from one car to the next (Keep in mind I have to open car doors too where the lawn mower will sit) so the smaller deck would be the best as I am going to go with the mulching kit if I get the scag or the Bobcat. I would prefer the Scag Liberty Z but need to know the part number for the extension kit. The bars were set to the highest setting, and the seat was all the way back as I checked the seat when I lifted it up and it was clearly back all the way. I have been on Gravely's, Scag, and Bobcat's Websites doing the comparison for width as that is the most important measurement for me with considering for storage. If I can get the part number for the handlebar extension kit I am in business, then I will get the Scag Liberty Z.

Have you had any experience with the Bobcat ZT2000? I am curious to your opinion, and your feedback has become so invaluable. Thank you!

Talk with your Scag dealer. If they are worth a hoot, they will know.

Buy the Scag over the other three mowers, especially the Bobcat. Scag has a large market share, unlike the Bobcat. I have only worked on one Bobcat zero turn over the years, versus dozens and dozens of Scags. Hard to believe you are having this much trouble picking a residential zero turn. One big last important thing to remember is after the sale service and repair. Of these dealers you have gone to, which one seems to have the strongest service department?

I believe that the Scag Liberty would be a better fit for him. Some sales people just want to make a sale. A good sales person should know everything about the products that they are selling. There are handle bar extension kits and optional Scag handle bars available. There are also fine adjustments that can be made to the existing handle bars.

I do not feel like I am having any difficulty with this. I am actually thriving I feel as all the knowledge that has been provided is invaluable. This in my opinion and the thorough research and education that I did not have before helps with my decision. It is like buying a car I have no business buying because I know nothing about it and did not look at it from a logical perspective and perform my research like I should have (I hate buyer's remorse). All the dealers in my area have the positives and negatives. There is only one that carries Scag in my area, so I am forced to go to them and not by my choice, but more out of necessity at this point since there is so much misinformation and nonsense out there that I have read. Some people call Scag junk. This is for my quest to buy what is right for me based on the information that is being provided and to educate myself and not believe all the nonsense out there. Thank you all for the great advice and post as I hope this will help someone else out on their quest. This could be a pinned post. Just my opinion.

Update:

Got in touch with Scag directly and they do not make a handlebar extension kit for the Liberty Z series. Guess I am going to look at something else.
