Mower worked fine then the next week I couldnt pull the cord. took off the assembly and tried with a cressent wrench with the spark plug out. Turned extremly hard. I have not idea whats wrong. Any suggestions what to check ?

seems to turn a little eastier counter clockwise but still not right

Could be hydro locked with fuel in cylinder. Try pulling recoil rope with spark plug out and see if gas comes out of spark plug hole. If so, keep pulling until it clears.
