Being dragged to court... Here we go again.

Remember "Common Sense" and decency, honest dealing, a base level understanding and expectations about everyday interactions with people you're doing business with? It wasn't that long ago, really, only a few years.

Now the USA is like this: Half the population is insane and believes they are entitled to whatever delusion enters their insanity-infested "brain" at the moment. I'm ****ing sick of it all.

I hope you punish the hell out of that moron that is trying to sue you, and I hope you either end up owning his mower or you can extract $$$$ from his ignorant ***.

So I'm just going to assume some people can talk about politics, but no one can respond. I know this is a lawnmower forum, but the political talk should have been quashed immediately, not when an opposing view was put forward. But that's fine, now I know how it is here...

We thought we done got past that but you want to bring it up again. The best way is not to respond.

As for Fatso he lost Donner this year due coming in my sights but I was aiming for fatso. Hopefully Donner will recover from the bum leg if his health care don't get cancelled. Donner is doing his arithmetic. He putting down three and carrying one.

Fatso left me a lump of coal a few years ago so I left out some wild mushroom tea for him too.

Btw there is difference between facts and fiction. And there is a lot fiction coming out some mouths right now. Just look at the last two paragraphs its not real. just make believe. Now I did shot a dog this week and laid it out in the cotton field for the buzzards. They needed a Christmas dinner.

Well, after the discovery process was done, his so-called attorney was proven not to have proper credentials. My attorney filed for dismissal with damages to be paid. The customer went off the deep end and ended up with a contempt charge to stack on top of the case.

Payment for services and the aggravation ordered by the court are still pending, but I have a feeling the owner would rather just abandon this mower.

Until the case is final, I cannot sell it, part it out or crush it.

My attorney is monitoring the situation, and it may take a few more months before any resolution come from this fiasco.

I have a customer who filed a court claim on me because I refused to warranty repair their broken-down machine.

Sounds crazy, but there is a catch.

This John Deere Z-920 came to me with a crankcase full of fuel. they had been running that way spitting plumes of smoke out of the exhaust for about a week. There was raw fuel spitting out of the exhaust when it arrived. I drained it and changed the oil, then ran it to clear up the smoke. Corrected the bad carburetor needle and test ran it to confirm repairs. There are no further issues

Now the customer is claiming by a lawsuit I need to buy them new mower for their negligence. He has not even picked up the machine and ran it.

Have people gotten that stupid?

Edit:

For the record, they are not getting the machine back until this thing plays out. I told him to have his attorney talk to mine and I would not discuss anything further. Meanwhile costs can climb because he wants to play the victim.
Unfortunately, our society has evolved into a more unethical one. My feeling is that your customer only cares about getting a new expensive mower on your back.

I remember when pet rocks were a strange fad that people actually made money from selling them, especially at the local flea markets.

Cabbage patch and garbage pail kids and Tickle Me Elmo were all the rage not that long ago. People have some weird ideas of what they like to claim is "collectable".
I remember the pet rock stupid fad. I wondered at that time why didn’t people just go out and pick up a rock anywhere instead of paying for one?

Had a previous customer that I did repair work on his ATV but couldn't pay the bill when it was done, and then let it set here another year, and then called me to see if it was still running, which I told him no, and most of the previous work I had performed would need to be redone due to it setting with fuel in it, and the new battery that I had installed had failed. Another year goes by and still no word from the customer so it this point has been setting 2 years, At that point I loaded it on the scrap trailer and sold it for junk. Customer comes by yesterday looking for it and was upset it was no longer here and I had disposed of it. Time from initial work to yesterday had been 8 years.
