I picked up this little $10 gem today. It's a 1972 model with the D-433 engine. It's not in the best of shape, but is complete, down to the matching green wheels. Looks like I've got another project on my hands 
It appears that way, but it's stock. I checked out the drawings at lawnboy.com to see. I have 2, 8232's, and I'll more than likely be using a deck from one to replace this deck as it has some cracks and patch work....although it does give it character lol.
Got it down to the garage this evening. It tested good for spark, and after I sprayed some fuel into the carb, she fired up on the first pull. No kidding.... Then I cleaned out the tank, put some gas in, and after a minor air/fuel adjustment she was purring like a kittenI'll never understand why folks throw away good stuff.
