I have heard of the issue and was discussed at a Kohler update a few years back, but like you said no real solutions were given. Some of the Briggs big block Vanguards have a similar issue with kickback when trying to restart while hot.

Yeah Fiebig. I put on some of those meetings. We would rotate.

Yes it did, it will crank over the same with plug wires attached without the choke on. I have a fully charged battery & installed a new starter also. I'm baffled by this.
