Hello all,
Just bought an Ariens IKON XD 52 2020. Unbeknownst to me after reading the transmission was a profession transmission, I figured it was a long lasting unit. Now I'm understanding that the fluid chamber is sealed and cannot be changed. I have about 3 acres of grass and cut it weekly during summer months. I thought this unit would be fine given it's size. After reading some posts including one from an Ariens member, this transmission is good for couple hundred hours. Spending $3200 on a mower knowing it's only going to be good for few hundred hours is ridiculous in my opinion. I had a John Deere D100 riding mower that lasted 500. What can I expect from this sealed transmission? Any advice or longevity info would be appreciated.
