looking for mower boneyards

I live in central North Carolina. I will keep an eye open for both of us. I have an old Cub and a Sears I have rebuilt for myself. I have pictures of the Cub, but I havn't posted any of the old Sears.

I am lucky to have a major salvage yard in NY where I live. Lawn Mower Haven (315-568-0040). I have found some smaller salvage yards by asking around like dealers. I also find when dealing with a salvage yard they are a breed of all there own. They will have the part but they will take there own sweet time getting it and it will take two trips one to order the part and the next trip to pay and pick it up. You can also find salvage yards on the Internet. The prices I find run about haft the cost of new at retail and as a rule I find the parts are good. The problem getting parts off the Internet or e-bay is the shipping cost so when you are done you could of bought them new from a dealer. I also find if I need bearing I get the bearing numbers and you can't beat the e-bay prices for new. I have a small repair shop and finding parts is one of the major problems I have.

what is the sears you have? i have a lt 1136 im restorin. any advice? lol
 
I am working on a 73 Cub Cadet and I have rebuilt an 83 Sears LTV11 w/38 inch deck. I upgraded the trans to a three speed w/larger tires. Replaced the 11HP with a re-ringed 12HP. Will post pics this week.
I will attend a lawn mower pull in Cedar Grove NC. Will be introduced to a man that has a bone yard. Hope to have the part I need for my Cub. Will let you know the address.
