New valve guide install ?

I had to install a new exhaust valve guide in my 13 hp 28M707 and I need to know what size reamer I need. The best I can tell the valve is app. .309/.310. All help appreciated.

The closest to the Briggs finish reamer for 5/16 valves is a 8 mm. I actually measure .3145" on my finish reamer. It is also a LH twist version which might be throw calipers off a tad. Note if you installed Briggs 230655 bushing , it does not require finish reaming.

Thanks for your reply. I have 261961 bushing as that's what the online parts list called for.
So a .3125 reamer is too small? Never replaced one before and all I know comes from youtube.

All I can provide is the size of the finish reamer provided by Briggs which is .3145 [7.98mm].
