Fd 590v liquid cooled 18hp

I have kaw fd590v . Had a leak valve cover gasket ended up breaking bolt off in head, Took head off To get broke bolt out. Should have I took head off without adjusting flywheel, or will it be ok to put back on the way it is? Thanks

yes you absolutely don't want to ever adjust the flywheel on one of those engines

Should have said turn to get top dead center . Is that nessesary?

If you just removed the cylinder head. No it isn't.

You do want to readjust the valve clearances as they may changed. To me I always loosen them taking a head off so it is automatic here to readjust.
