Poulan pro riding mower defect

It keeps breaking the conneting rod that has the swiveling bolts on both ends that connects the gear lever to the part that changes gears on on front of transmission and I cant figure out why or how.
 
Glad you found the humour.
Most times my attempts at it fall flat with USA readers.
However I see this is a duplicate thread and Fish & Star are pointing you in the right directions over at the other post .
So to save confusion we might end this thread where it is for now
