Mulching mulching time

I have a snapper 1538 hydro-- model lt150h38lbv, series 1. I have been serching for days for a mulching cover plate for this mower. Anybody know where i might find one or ideas on making a home-made cover?? i already have the blades and dont want to buy an expensive kit just for the cover. Any ideas??

here's a couple of pics of the chute. measurements are 13 3/4 inches length and 4 inches height.
sorry for the dirty mower,,haven't had time to properly clean lately. Made time for oil and grease though! thanks

seems to me that you should find a lot of 'stuff' at a big hardware store to fab something up

yep----- got an old tractor-trailor flap that may work quite well,if my search fails....
