I have seen them in person And looks like a big improvement over the HRR216.

Apparently the engine is a complete redesign eliminating tons of parts to make it easier to service.

From 106 parts down to 39 on the engine. Not a two stroke I guess. That's some major parts reduction in an engine. Sleeves, bushings, guides bearings, bolts, a ring or two. Somehow I'm not all that sure I'd want one.

Looks like they finally updated the wheel adjusters. That's the only complaint I have so far on my new model HRX with the 200cc engine. The rear wheel adjusters are terrible. They feel like they'll snap off in your hand you have to use so much force to move them. And that's with the mower in my truck bed with the rear end hanging out with no weight on the wheels.

Yes and way easier gosh forbid you bend a crankshaft it’s way easier to change. Look at the parts breakdown you will see what I mean.

Yes I moved the adjusters in the showroom and both front and rear very very easy to adjust. I have and have had a bunch of Honda’s including the 190cc and new 200cc hrx217. The rear height adjusters can be stiff. What I find is when you hear about the mowers being hard to pull backwards and or lock up over time like the old hrr216 did, if you basically disassemble both rear wheels and adjusters. Clean everything and grease it and put back together it rolls easier and of course the rear height adjusters move smoother then when new. For what it’s worth I have used Honda marine grease and have had better luck with ease of movement with a amsoil red general purpose grease. Both work fine and are nlgi #2 grease. the adjusters get dry and dust and grass and basically bind between the adjusters and the composite hrx deck. Was told that from a long time Honda tech that those with hydro trans can create so much torqe along with the engine thanif it’s really packed and dry that it could and has seen the deck crack under there. Imagine that much torque and a lot of friction from dust, dirt grass build up between the adjusters and the plastic deck. Extreme case sure but you get the idea. I believe Honda calls for every 150 hours or every 2 years in the manual.

I just purchased a HRN216VKA. Just got it today. Very easy to setup, looks and feels great. I only mowed a little bit with it but it cut and performed way better than my Toro Personal Pace POS Mower I just had to junk.

So is your new mower easy to pull back on? Can you tell if the transmission is turning if you pull back on the mower?
Got lots of use out of my HRX but I'm liking this new design so eager to hear how it goes.

It moves backward and forward without any effort as long as you don't push the drive mechanism while doing it.
