Deck belt loose

Hello everybody. So I have a Craftsman T1200 with 42'' deck. I went to put a new belt on cause my old one broke, and the belt is too loose. As far as I can tell there is no way to tighten the belt. Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks in advance.
 
Since T1200 is a series number and could cover several model numbers it would be beneficial if we had the actual model number from under the seat.

Sure thing, the model number from the tag under the seat is: 247.203726. Thanks for replying.
 
Also make sure the cable that connect from the rear of the deck to the pivot arm on the deck that tightens the belt.
