I have a 2016 John Deere D105 that I use to mow my small 1 acre lot. Recently when I engage the blades it may take 10-30 seconds until they actually start turning. I would think I would need to simply tighten the cord/wire whatchamacallit. Mine unfortunately has the L bracket welded so I cant adjust at that point. Any ideas??

Have you replaced the deck belt?
Have you tried turning the blades by hand to be sure they aren't hard too turn

I have not replaced the belt yet. Look's like I may need to. So, do know if the engagement cable can be tightened?
