Yet another what's this ugly/different grass thread!

Here are two pictures. Most of the lawn is normal, but there are patches and groups of this second grass which has blades facing different directions, but about the same color, slightly lighter and broader, as the healthy bluegrass. This different variety seems to have one stem, but several blades, hence they point at different angles. Sorry the pix are not sharp.

Is this seasonal? What if anything to do?

Yuck... they are blurry. Will try CG killer on an area, and if no success, will repost pix.

Sprayed both lawns with triclopyr.... 3 tsps./gallon over 1,000 sq. ft.

Tricyclopyr is indeed selectively killing the abnormal grass. Hope the bluegrass grows back into these areas.
