Uneven height lines

I just purchased an MTD 42" lawn tractor. Thus far I really like the cut of the mower, but when I make corners (mostly on hills) it's like the deck is lower on the outside of the turn. How do I fix this little issue?
 
Cut a few strips around the perimeter, then pick your deck up while making your turns, ease it back down once you have straightened out again.
 
So I should be cutting in strips even though it isn't a zero turn? Would it help if I put more or less air in my tires. I don't know what psi I am running.

I'm guessing it is just compressing down on one side due to the weight on the hill, thus the uneven cut. I always cut in stripes and my tractor isn't a z-turn, I think I just like stripes :biggrin:
 
Stripes do look quite a bit nicer and more professional. The darn bushes just happen to be in the way. I need to take some time and practice turning on this mower. Its quite a bit different machine than that old john deere 68 I was using.
 
My yard is pretty open and unobstructed for 1 acre and I like to keep it that way :biggrin:. My wife on the other hand wants to plant bushes everywhere, but I have won out thus far because she thinks the lawn still looks nice :laughing:

That is likely due to the steering geometry & the little bit of camber at the front wheels... the inside will lift slightly and the outside will drop slightly, the tighter you turn, the more it will do this...
Increasing the air pressure to the tires max pressure will help a little because it may keep the side walls from twisting, but the best practical solution is to not turn as sharp as the linkage will allow... :smile:KennyV
