Need help with Snapper 21 inch Series 19 Model 7800218.
When using the self-propelled,the mower keeps picking up speed, have to hold the lever back.
I have replaced the driven disc and the adjustment looks fine.

It does have a speed adjust by the handle right? Is that what you mean by picking up speed?

Yes there is a handle to adjust the speed, the handle slides the driven pulley back and forth on a drive pulley from the engine to adjust the speed.
I took the mower apart again and found the new driven gear I replaced was out of round. The new one that I purchased was a new or revised design for $92. I thought it would be better but I was wrong.
I sent the revised one back and ordered the original design.
Hopefully that resolves the problem
