My wife found a Stihl Pro Trimmer on Craigslist...(lemme guess...you're rolling your eyes and laughing your head off, right?)

There is a bar code, metallic sticker that is 75% destroyed.

There is a 9-digit number printed/embossed in the housing: 253713518.

I've search the stihl.com website: nothing. I've done a google search: no results, except for a paid ad on the right mentioning an FS55 on Amazon.

The thing won't start and I'm trying to do some research, but obviously don't know what to research!

Any hints/suggestions?

Well, guess what...

All the identifying marks on the motor/housing are gone...but there's one last faded sticker on the shaft...FS80R

Mystery solved.
