Check the blade. Grab it and try one wobble it up and down. Make sure there is no play in the spindle.

he will take $240 for it,no less and can't deliver it
i only have a small car at the moment :(

I have saved for a decent ZTR, but until this old Snapper finally dies, I am going to keep using it.

there are no snapper riders for sale in my price range right now; thanks for the tip

Yeah, $200 won't buy much of a mower. I think I paid $800 for mine...2 years old, but it is now 14 years old, and still doing the job. So long as I can get by with just minor repairs, I'll let the ZTR money stay in the bank.
