My two cylinder Murry Lawn Tractor has no compression on one side (Right Cylinder). I've replaced the Spark Plug, removed the Tappit Cover, and haven't been able the find a bonifide cause for the total lack of compression on the right cylinder. I am desperate for an easy answer/quick fix, at this point. So, I don't have to tare the head off the engine. I you have any Idea's, please feel free to share them. Otherwise, I'm destined to make a mess in my garage. Please, tell me you've got an easy answer!!!
 
I reread your post, compression lacking. Now you did check valve adjustment? Remove the spark plug and put oil in the cylinder and see if it brings up the compression?
 
Yes Sir; Spark looks good, getting fuel, timings good (it runs on the other cylinder), but, no compression in the right cylinder. I removed the plug and checked it. The left cylinder shows about 100#, and the right shows 0#. So, I took off the Tappit cover, but saw nothing wrong?

You took off the cover and did check the valve clearance? Put oil in the cylinder and see if the compression comes back. If (not), yes could be a head gasket, bad piston, or bad valve. Very easy test. If compression dose come back it is a piston ring problem.
