We never see them this early but ,amy times in April or May we get a bunch of them perching on my silo or big barn, last year at one time I counted 14 of them.

I just looked at the link your provided, lots of interesting facts but I still think they are double ugly...

What a terrible way to survive, eating carrion but having their great sense of smell...doesn't seem very fair to me. :confused2:

Since the Amish settled here, the population has exploded. I do not know of a direct connection, but......
Have you ever seen one of those old "B" horror movies, where the stranger enters town, and there is a vulture on every phone pole and rooftop? Some mornings are downright creepy, if you let your imagination get away from you. Last year I saw one sitting on the passenger-side roof of a pick-up parked at the church. ( wish I'd never heard of "Chiller Theater"!)
