gas can?

I curse the EPA every time I use my pos cans. I have spilled more gas filling my chainsaw because of these "environmentally friendly" spouts.

I hear ya...any time the government sets out to "protect us" they end up screwing up our lives. Just recently, TVA tried to ban fishing the tailwaters below any of their dams in Tennessee. Lamar Alexander had a TV ad telling them that we know better how to be safe than the government trying to "make us be safe". That would go for the EPA on gas can safety too!!!!
 
I bought 6 of the Scepter (Sceptre?) cans from Home Depot during one of the hurricanes a few years back. While it was great to be the only guy on the block with 35 gal of gas for my generator, I quickly found out that the spouts were total crap. I've called Scepter a few times to have them send me new spouts because the little spring pops out of the locking mechanism and essentially destroys the spout (I love how they sell replacements in Home Depot, you keep buying the same one over and over!). I am looking at the EZ-POUR spouts available online or Tractor Supply as a replacement. At $10-12 they are pricey, but worth it to replace the regulated ones on the new cans.

I got Scepter cans with normal spouts. Just unscrew the cap and stick in the tube on top and rescrew cap. Then pour. Start mowing!
 
Northern Tool and Equipment carries 1,2 and 5 gallon metal containers(Justrite brand).They also carry the 'No Spill' plastic in 1,2.5,and 5.They had some on sale,maybe still do. I use ziplock bags here!:laughing:

Blitz 80033 is the best gas can ever made and trying to locate more of them myself to put up for keep sake.
 
They don't make that spout anymore :( can't even buy it off amazon. I found one at a yard sale but he wanted $20 bucks just for the spout and he wouldn't haggle

I am going to order the Blitz Enviro Flo Kerosene cans, the blue color does not mean crap to me since I will just re-label them with a permanent marker.
