push mower blade keeps falling off

hey guys, i found the issue for the strong recoil, the blade was loose. But after i tightened it down again with all my might, it got loose, but not too bad. I repeated this twice and i even put a washer on it, still problem permits. What do i do now?? I am certain its the original bolt and blade. None of it is stripped. I put some rope down the spark plug hole and tightened down the bolts. :thumbdown:

That's a heck of a question lol, was there maybe a lock washer that you misplaced? Is it a clockwise or counterclockwise turning motor?

clockwise, 3.5 briggs classic. ill look but im pretty sure there wasnt a lock washer, otherwise i wouldnt get the damn thing off! thanks

Loc-Tite works excellent for nuts that you don't want to come lose, as well as lock washers

Just replace the hardware.... The bolt and any other hardware under there... Safety first

yeah, sounds like he needs to replace the blade adapter and all the bolts.

Loc-Tite works very well, but don't use the red because it works too well, so use the blue.

If you have to use Loc-tite on your blade blots you have something way wrong and it needs to be fixed.

I would just replace all the hardware under there as someone else said, and if you still can't get it, throw some threadlocker #3 From HF on it. Hope this helps

Ya locktite and thread lock will work.... But you should not have to use it. So there is something wrong and personally I would never do anything to a Sharp blade spinning at 3000+ rpm besides what the original engineers did they have safety standards far surpassing our own so replace the hardward your probably looking at $20-$30 dollars max how much is your foot worth?
