john Deere lt166 wont start turns over but not starting. I replaced the spark plug and but teaspoon of gas in spark plug hole did not start.

you need to test for spark other then just replacing the spark plug.

I have JD LT166 46in with the 16hp vtwin briggs.

I checked for a spark this evening and there appears to be none. Now what do I do?

There was no spark so I looked for a wiring problem and found a connector that was popped out of its hole. i pushed it back in and then tried it again and it started. pretty simple fix. The wire must have been shorting out on the metal.
