carb adjustments on new carb

so i bought a new carb for the craftsman weed wacker i got. but my question do i have to set the carb when i get it new? i know i will have to set the idle but not sure about the carb itself.

You may have to tweak it a tad, to get the best performance. Do you have the splined tool? If not, you could just jamb a red
butt connector in there and turn it with some needlenose pliers.

i dont have a splined tool. and thank you. i didnt know if the carb would be pre set. the idle definatly wont be set right?

Hard to say, adjusting that one is easy though.....
