You sound like the man I need to talk to I have a 917.252512 craftsman rider It decided to fail to crank. I need a simple wire schematic for this beast. Battery, solenoid, switch 4 over 1 starter and fuel cut off. Are you the man that can help?
thanks

Wow, beautiful vineyard and nice website. I guess you use the old 8N too. Let us know when you have your first tasting. Did not know all those different varieties of grapes could be grown in Georgia and had been grown here years ago. Chateau Elan near Braselton was the only one I knew of.

My name is Anna, and I have a Craftsman riding mower Y4000. I've had it about two years, and so far I like it. My yard is less than an acre (about 0.65), so I do all right with this model.

Hi, Anna  and welcome to Lawn World.

I have a 16 year old craftsman, I'm getting the steering box and hood replaced on it next week.

Hello all! I joined some time ago but never got around to posting. Thought I would remedy that now.
We live in beautiful rural southern Illinois on about 15 acres, about 5 of which we mow. Back in '98 we bought brand new a 917.258914 lawn tractor for the somewhat smaller yard we had at that time. 3 years ago we moved to this place and decided the old trouper needed a little help so bought a new YT4500 (917.288580) lawn tractor. Both mowers have given great service with very little trouble.
Recently though, the old garden tractor has suddenly decided not to start. I'll post about that in the appropriate section of the forum, once I figure out where that is.

:welcome: Welcome! We would love to see pictures of your mowers! And you can post your problem in the Small Engine & Mower Repair Forum or Craftsman Forum if you would like.

Hello everyone I just purchased a used 15.5hp craftsman lt1000 with a 38" deck it has a 6spd transaxel for $400 . It is pictured on the avatar. My yard is about 1 1/2 acres and mostly level. I found this site three days ago and find it very helpful and motivating. If anyone has had any experiances with this mower I would love to hear about them good or bad. I love to work on things myself and I look forward to sharing this site and forum with all of you
