OK it had been raining for weeks and the soil was soft.

Ingested water and quit. Plugs out, starter activated 2 or 3 minutes. No water in crankcase or fuel. No spark. Distributor or electronic ignition probably soaked or ruined.
Any ides?

Just let it set in a good dry place for a few days or the sun. You might use a hair dryer on the ignition module to dry it out. Seeing you have a distributor take the cap off and dry out the inside of the cap and rotor and check it very close for cracks. I don't know the condition of your plug wires but if they are old it wouldn't hurt to replace them.

It's been in double digits here for several weeks, so there have been a few days when this might have sounded like a good idea. Seriously though, if the water level was above the top of the hydraulic tank, don't forget to change hydraulic oil and filters as well as engine oil. Take the top off the deck and let it dry out thoroughly.

Best of luck with it.
