Hey guys I have a snapper rear engine rider with a briggs and stratton 12 hp ohv motor. I recently replaced the cam shaft and adjusted the valves and it runs great while mowing my front yard, but when I get to my back yard its starts wanting to stall. When it stalls it starts right back up and runs fine for about 5 minutes and then stalls again and starts again runs fine then stalls I think you see the cycle. Anyone have any ideas?

Are you cutting really high grass or is the deck height really low?? Do you have alot of debris accumulated under the deck? Are you mowing wet grass? Will it stall if it sits and runs for five minutes without mowing? If it stalls regardless if it's mowing or not it it may be a fuel delivery issue. Is the fuel filter clean? Is there debris in the gas tank?

My deck is set on 3 and the grass isn't high or wet i put a new fuel filter on it when i changed the cam no debris in fuel tank i haven't tried leaving it run with no load so I'll try that after the rain stops it takes about 45 minutes to cut my front yard and runs great the entire time its when I'm about 15 minutes into my back yard it starts stalling
