Husqvarna Blower Model 125B

I have a Husqvarna Blower that has developed a problem. Of course it is just out of warranty and two different repair shops tell me it costs more to fix it than it is worth. I'm convinced that repair shops and vendors are working against me.

This blower will start and run but only for about 30-60 seconds. At that time it just slows down and eventually dies, unless I let off the throttle. That will make it run for a bit longer but eventually it won't run. If I let it sit for a few minutes it will start again and repeat the same problem. I disassembled the carb, cleaned it and looked for any obvious problems. The carb internals actually looked really good. I did find a break in the fuel supply line where it leaves the gas tank, replaced that but didn't solve the problem. I've replaced the plug, just because, but nothing seems to help or even change the symptoms. Tried running it withou air filter just to see if it was starved for air, but no change.

I would really appreciate any suggestions...especially regarding the symptom of running just fine for 30-60 seconds and then failing. Is that likely to be lack of fuel, lack of air or what? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Acts like a fuel problem, but could be caused by several reasons. Maybe you are developing an air leak around a seal when it gets warm, or possibly loosing pump vacuum from the pulse line/passage into the carb. I am just speculating right now, just some ramdom thoughts.

I was just reading about the pulse line. My carb is a ZAMA, not sure of exactly which one. How can I test for something like an air leak or pulse line problem? Or is it trial and error?

I'm no mechanic...how is the pulse transferred ftom the cylinder to the carb? I see no connection other than the fact that the backside of the carb bolts right on to the block.

Fuel filter? Spray some sea foam in the carb and some in the gas some in the spark plug hole it'll clean up

If haven't already done, do as suggested about the fuel filter, or just replace it. worth a try. Testing for air leaks requires special testing equipment.
