Hello,

New to the forum. Just wanted to say hi, and looking forward to hanging out. I just got a CraftsMan Model#917.358470 Serial 101696D with the Briggs & Stratton Diamond I/C Commercial Performance 15.5HP 28N707-1036-E1 Year 98. Prayed for a riding mower, and got this one free (Sweet). My Briggs & Stratton push mower is great, but for an almost 2 acre lot, it's not cool lol.

I am going to be painting it, and replacing the engine gaskets, piston rings etc... As you can see from my avatar, I made some custom decals that I am going to put on the sides. I will post images.

:welcome: Welcome to LawnMowerForum! That sounds like a nice mower, and I like the custom decals.....can't wait for some pictures!

LT 2000 here. Had it since right after Katrina. Keep the oil changed and it just keeps on ticking. 20 hp b&s. Have a bunch of other mowers, this one works the most.

Hi everyone, I'm happy to be a member of this forum! I've had Sears tractors ever since I inherited my dad's 1968 Suburban 12 many years ago (sold it long ago, didn't have time to restore it). Moved from upstate NY to High Point NC recently, left my 2006 24HP Craftsman YT up north. Just acquired a GT3000 with 6-speed manual (917.275010) from craigslist. Needs some TLC, but came with 48" deck, sleeve hitch, electric lift kit (deck & hitch), back blade, ag tires, wheel weights, and an extra set of mounted turf-saver back tires. I only have .6 acre, but alot of hill and rough terrain in back yard. Also, I plan on doing some serious landscaping, so I think once I get her dialed in, she'll be more than up to the task. I look forward to all the great people and fellow Craftsman owners and great advice on this BB. Thanks! I'll post pix of the work in progress when I can.

Hello everyone! I just acquired a CTX9500 for right at $3k! I looked around at Cubs and Deeres. I decided to look at a GT6000 at my local sears store and I seen the CTX9500 sitting in the back aisle with a clearance tag on it. I havent looked at riders in a few years and I had no clue about this mower. I did some research and found it had pretty impressive specs. I was able to talk them down from the clearanced price of $3799 to $3299. I then asked for the 5% off member of the day discount and got another 5% off by using my Sears card. I have around 5 hours on it so far and I really like it. My first goal is to figure out if I can attach the roller on the rear deck like the Simplicity and Massey Ferguson models have. It is a bit overkill for my yard but hey, its better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it!

GREETINGS to all Craftsman mower owners!

If you're new to the forum, please reply to this thread and introduce yourself and your mower (that is, if your mower have a name ). maybe attach a photo or two of your mower and show off your pride and joy.

Also, if you haven't done so already you can upload a user avatar (picture under your user name). You can do so by clicking on settings and "edit avatar" or just click here.

Please be helpful and friendly to all other Craftsman owners (how could you not, right?) and if you like this forum, tell your friends about it.

We want to make this the best resource for Craftsman mower owners, and to do that we need your help! Questions? Experiences? Stories? Data? Photos? Articles? Links? Cool Craftsman stuff? Post it here!

Last but not least, please let me know if you have any suggestions for the site. We'd love to hear them.
