I have this stud that came with a B&S 6B-S. The oil bath air cleaner uses this stud to attach it to the carb. I don't think this is correct for this model. I don't know why it is factory bent! What B&S would it be for? Thanks, Silver

Has anyone made a bench motor starter to help start older recoil start engines? I would like to use a electric motor with belt to start older engines that on my bench. Using the pulley that is on all the 2 - 3 Hp engines I have from mowers or edgers Just hate to pull and pull and pull. Not good...

Can I substitute coil 398593 or 496914 for old coil 298502 or do I need 591420 replacement kit? What about the kill switch wire to carb.. Time to update from points.

The muffler was toast. Only thing holding it together was the rust. I moved the lock nut, but the pipe will not move. I hit it with PB blaster, but no help. I can't get a pipe wrench to hold. I do not have a heat source. Any Help? silver1

What is the best way to lube the spring on a 2 hp 3 hp briggs? I have the spring clean, but not the housing. I will clean it and install the spring and rope. I believe these take about 6 turns. I heard somewhere that auto-trans fluid worked ok. Should it be a spray type lube or just some oil...
