I am proud to be able to tell you that YES! I was able to rebuild the transaxle with the help and assistance of the friendly posters here on the Forum. If you go back to the beginning of this thread you can follow that adventure. The mechanics of the required repair were simple enough, but learning about the proper lubricants for use in non-sealed gear housings was worth the price of admission. The Yardman MTD still operates smoothly, only now that it has been gutted of all mowing equipment and controls, the major service it supplies is towing a trailer filled with firewood.
Since completing that project, the thread topics have tended to wander over a variety of subjects, which evidently a number of readers find interesting enough to return to each day so they can follow the adventures of those members who post here regularly. We would be more than pleased to include you on that list.

Holy crap!! It looked like the driver of the first dragster had an aircraft ejection seat and actually used it!!
Looked like Route 128 in Mass back in the old days!! LOL...
