Z530M running issues

I have a new JD Z530M mower with 38 hours on the unit. My mower has developed a problem that I have never experienced before. The motor will intermittently lose power, make a metal clanging noise and shut off. If I let it sit for a minute it will restart and operate correctly but 5 minutes or 30 minutes later it will do the same thing again. I am not able to take it back to the dealership where I purchased it until the mowing season is completed. Which is soon. Anyone experience this problem with a new z530 ? Could it be the fuel filter is clogged ?

Stop everything. Do not try to fix even the most simplest thing. Voiding the warranty at this point could be the dumbest decision you could ever do.

And as said don't void your warranty. Manufacturers are good at finding excuses to void warranties. Matter of fact if you read your warranty it is most likely worthless as they can void it for any reason they desire. They are written by lawyers to solely protect the manufacture from any expense after they sell the equipment.
