Seeking assistance with a Yamaha generator EF12000DE, unit has 20 hours on it. Changed oil and filter, fresh gas, removed, disassembled carburetor, cleaned and reassembled, installed. fuel cut off solenoid and oil pressure switch replaced with OE Yamaha. This unit will run at idle and half throttle. When full throttle the generator will for a few seconds and dies. Restart at idle not a problem. Oil level is good. Any help is appreciated.

Have you made sure the fuel strainer filter is clear/clean?

There are 2, one in the fuel tank and the other is a small see through bowl in line. One for each tank. Yes they are clean.

Well it was a thought along possible collapsing fuel line which had on a personal mower last Fall here.

That's a fuel starvation problem.

At idle or half throttle you get enough to keep it running, but at full throttle you empty the bowl so it dies. And then it refills while you're cursing and it restarts. You need to check for pinched fuel lines and clogged filters. And if the fuel hose is black rubber, the inside lining could have ruptured which restricts flow despite the exterior looking fine.

Have you pulled the line off the carb and checked fuel flow out of the line?

Start by removing the muffler.
Problem goes away + some thing making a home in there over winter .
This is very common with things like generators that can sit unused for years .

This generator was running fine when this issue started.

Thank you and check it out.
