I have seen several Kohler XT675 with a warped filler neck on the plastic gas tank. They have become oval shaped and not round. It creates an issue getting the cap on and they do leak gas. I went on to Amazon to see about acquiring a new tank and at least three people (I stopped reading the reviews after 3) have complained about the same problem.
Does anyone know if Kohler has issued a recall? It seems like it is not an isolated problem and it sure can be a saftey issue with gas leaking out.
I have the same engine with a different issue. I would contact Kholer and ask about a recall. I did not get any recall notice and am disappointed in this engine. Wish they could make a simple engine that can last instead of bragging that you don’t have to change the oil as a selling point. My father has a 32 year old Honda HR214, cold starts in 2 pulls and runs like new. We are going backwards.
